Look for some recreational reading in our Great Reads Collection, located on the third floor of Koerner Library right next to the fireplace.
In Fall 2011, UBC Library launched the Great Reads program at Koerner Library to provide campus residents, community members, faculty, staff and students easy access to leisure-reading materials. Items in Koerner’s Great Reads Collection range from award-winning fiction to books on humanities and social sciences topics written for a non-academic audience.
The program has been a hit – so much so that it’s now also featured at:
- Irving K. Barber Learning Centre, 3rd floor. (Music, fine art, design, architecture, etc.)
- Woodward Library, main floor. (All aspects of science.)
- David Lam Management Research Library, main floor. (Business, marketing, management, etc.)
- Education Library, main floor. (Books for children and popular books about education)
The Great Reads website makes it easy to find available books by location, scan the carousel for new titles and check out recommendations.
