Database Feature: PrimateLit

By Trish on November 15, 2010

PrimateLit is a multi-disciplinary database covering many aspects of non-human primate research, including paleoprimatology, behaviour, learning & perception.  Searches include limits by geographical region (of the primates), taxonomic category, and common name.  A subset of the database, Current Primate Research, contains records added in the past six months and is an excellent current awareness tool.  It supports browsing by one (or several) of 25 disciplines, further optional refinement by selecting from a list of body regions and systems,  plus a date limit selection of the previous 1, 2, 3 or 6 months.

PrimateLit‘s  search features make it an excellent complement to other databases that include references to  research on non-human primates, such as BIOSIS Previews, PsycINFO and PubMed.
