Koerner Library has dedicated study space for students that includes storage space for Koerner library materials. Interested students may apply to book a study carrel. Carrel booking is available for the Fall, Winter, and Summer terms.
- If you are a UBC student, you are eligible to book a study carrel for an academic term. Bookable carrels are limited, and availability is based on the numbers of requests in a term. Study carrels are located on the 2nd floor of Koerner Library. At the Library’s discretion, the bookable period is one consecutive, four-month academic term.
- Interested users may apply in-person at the Koerner Circulation desk; applications are renewable, depending upon demand. Note that carrels are limited, and booking is done on a first come, first served basis each semester.
- Koerner materials can be signed out to your carrel and left in the library. Note that no journals, Course Reserve items, reference materials, or books from other libraries can be signed out to a carrel. Any unauthorized items left unattended on the carrel will be the patron’s responsibility.
